Issue with College Algebra book on Lulu.

Hi, folks,

I received an e-mail from lulu.com on the afternoon of 10/5/12.  There is apparently some issues fulfilling orders for our College Algebra book.  They are supposed to follow-up with me early next week.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

Edition IV is now officially "under construction."

Well folks, after a few days of leveling up my Jedi Knight character in Star Wars:  The Old Republic (there is, apparently, a limit to how many Rakghouls and Sith one can battle before it becomes "tedious"), it's time to get working on Edition IV of "the book."  Jeff and I spent three solid days going through the book section by section discussing how we can improve it.  (Thanks to all of you who sent us suggestions!)  Chapter 1 is now on the operating table, and, among other things, we're making Modeling its own section. I'm also adding more "mathy" extension exercises to the homework... like, for instance, a discussion question about Taxi Cab and Max Metrics in Section 1.1.  So, here we go!

Looking ahead to Edition IV: A New Hope

NGLC Grant and Updates!

Hi, folks! I am proud to announce that our Precalculus textbook is a integral (pun intended?) part of OhioLINK's "Scaffold to the Stars" NGLC grant. It is a $750,000 grant which, in part, aims to radically improve our book by providing funds to Jeff and me for revising the manuscript this summer as well as for other folks on the grant team to find multimedia resources to enhance the book. Don't worry - the text will still be available for free from www.stitz-zeager.com and for a cost-to-print price at lulu.com.
